Disney Cruise Line is gearing up to introduce not one, but TWO brand-new ships within the next 18 months, expanding their magical fleet to a total of seven!
Disney Magic
Disney Wonder
Disney Fantasy
Disney Dream
Disney Wish
Disney Treasure - Sailing December 2024
Disney Destiny - Sailing November 2025
Guests who enjoy sailing Disney Cruise Line are eagerly anticipating the first sailings aboard the stunning new vessels. The Disney Wish, the newest of the fleet, made its grand debut in the summer of 2022. With two more ships set to launch in consecutive years, excitement is at an all-time high! Many guests are already strategizing how to be among the first to experience the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. Some are even debating whether to dive into the new ship adventures right away or stick with the beloved classics until excitement settles down.
The Disney Treasure will initially embark on 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries departing from Port Canaveral this December. The constant between these itineraries is a visit to Disney’s popular private island destination Castaway Cay. We have already seen glimpses of this lovely vessel from the float out ceremony publicized earlier this year, and the excitement is building! The theming is centered around classic Disney adventure tales and beloved theme park attractions, promising a magical experience for every guest. Sailings on the Disney Treasure are available for bookings through May of 2026.
The Disney Destiny will launch from Fort Lauderdale and will feature magical 4- and 5-night sailings to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean. These itineraries offer a variety of exciting ports of call, including Nassau, Cozumel, Castaway Cay, and Disney’s newest exclusive destination–Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. The excitement buzzing around this new ship theme is the promise of, not only classic Disney heroes, but also the iconic Disney Villains and beloved stars from the latest Pixar and Disney films. Booking for Disney Destiny opens September 6 for Castaway Club Members.
One of the most unique aspects of a Disney Cruise is its rotational dining concept. Unlike other cruise lines, when guests sail on a Disney Cruise, they can expect an exceptional dinner dining experience, moving from one magically themed dining room to another while being attended by the same serving staff each evening. The Disney Treasure features the newly imagined Plaza de Coco. Alongside Plaza de Coco, you’ll find Worlds of Marvel and 1923, both of which were first introduced on the Disney Wish and now complete this trio of immersive dining experiences. Plaza de Coco and World of Marvel will provide two distinctive shows during the 7-night voyage. Disney Destiny also brings World of Marvel and 1923 but adds Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King as a highly anticipated new addition that promises to be a roaring success.
Although the rotational dining experience is a highlight of the cruise, casual dining is certainly not overlooked. Each ship will feature Marceline Market, Mickey’s Festival of Foods, themed walk-up cafés, and a delectable, sweet shop. For those seeking a more refined dining experience, the beloved adults-only Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté are set to make a return of both the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny.
A Disney Cruise is absolutely packed with entertainment options for the whole family to experience together, for kids to explore on their own and for adults to enjoy in a dedicated space just for them. Either before or after dinner, guests will enjoy Broadway-quality productions on the Disney Treasure including Disney: The Tale of Moana and Beauty and the Beast. Over on the Disney Destiny, you can immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Frozen: A Musical Spectacular and Hercules. Both ships will include performances of Disney Seas the Adventure.
All ages can splash and play together in multiple pools and splash zones on both ships. The Aquamouse aqua coaster will showcase distinct stories on each ship. The Disney Treasure will feature a new Mickey and Minnie Mouse short called Curse of the Golden Egg while Disney Destiny promises a Villain-soaked experience. When it is time to dry off, there’s still plenty of family fun to be had. Meet your favorite characters during Character Greetings, challenge each other in the Hero Zone, and enjoy a movie together in the onboard cinemas. Both ships are packed with ways to make lasting memories together!
Both ships carry on the high quality, adventure packed youth club experiences that Disney Cruise Line guests have come to expect. Marvel Superhero Academy, Fairytale Hall and Star Wars Cargo Bay provide hours of entertainment opportunities on both ships for ages. ‘It’s a small world’ nursery, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck, Edge, and Vibe are available to round out entertainment for the full range of ages from 6 months to 17 years.
Some of the most anticipated spaces on these new ships include the adult-only escapes. The Disney Treasure introduces thrilling new venues like the Haunted Mansion Parlor, the Skipper Society (a Jungle Cruise themed lounge), and Pericope Pub, which pays homage to the classic 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Already anticipated to be a hit, the Haunted Mansion Parlor will also make an appearance on the Disney Destiny, joined by De Vil’s Piano Bar, providing a Cruella-inspired aesthetic, and the Cask and Cannon, tipping the hat to Pirates of the Caribbean. These headliners are complemented by smaller, yet equally enticing venues, such as The Rose (available on both ships), the Scat Cat Lounge on the Disney Treasure, and The Sanctum, a Dr. Strange-themed lounge on the Disney Destiny. To enhance the relaxed vibe, adults can also unwind at the Senses Spa and the Quiet Cove Pool on both ships, creating perfect oases of tranquility amid the excitement.
After all of the food, entertainment and fun comes to an end, guests will find sanctuary in beautifully appointed staterooms. The Disney Treasure Concierge staterooms will feature Lion King- inspired decor in many rooms with seven specially designed Finding Nemo options. Meanwhile, the Disney Destiny promises the ultimate luxury with a Destiny Tower Suite honoring Iron Man, offering a Tony Stark-worthy penthouse experience.
One thing is certain: whether you choose the Peter Pan and Captain Hook-themed Disney Treasure or the Spider-Man bedecked Disney Destiny, or even one of Disney’s more seasoned ships, you are guaranteed an unforgettable experience with top-notch service and unparalleled opportunities to make magical memories as you see the world.
